Background summary
Uveitis can affect patients in each age category and has a peak incidence between 20 and 60 years of age. It may lead to temporary or permanent loss of visual function. Uveitis is treated by local or systemic medication, which may have local or general side effects. Uveitis and its treatment may thus interfere with daily activities including working. The present study makes use of a standardized questionnaire (modified NL-iPCQ) to evaluate work force participation by adult uveitis patients (18-66 years of age).
