Background summary
The long-term effects of a past infection with SARS-CoV-2 are not known. An outpatient care clinic has been set up to follow up the patients who are admitted to the LUMC with Covid-19, in which virological/inflammatory, pulmonary, cardiac, psychological, rahabilitation and geriatric (if indicated) sequelae/outcome measures are monitored. Variables predictive for outcome will be identified.
Study objective
Severe SARS-CoV-2 infection (admitted patients) have significant burden of long-term sequelae: inflammatory response, functional decline, pulmonary fibrosis, lung function abnormalities, cardiac dysfunction and/or psychological sequelae
