Register your research in the Research Portal
Register, submit and manage medical research
How to use this website
Welcome to the Overview of Medical Research in the Netherlands (OMON), formerly the Dutch Trial register. On this website you may look for medical research. Check the Research participants page for more information on participating in medical research.
OMON currently includes all research from the old National Trial Register (NTR), ToetsingOnline and the Research Portal. See the Professionals page for more information on managing research data and future developments.
The information from the old National Trial Register (NTR) is only available in English. Other information is available in both Dutch and English. In addition, the information may be outdated (such as 'Status of recruitment'). Therefore, when in doubt, always check with the submitting party of a study what the current status is. The submitting party is responsible for the data. Contact details for each study can be found under 'Contacts'.

'Research portal replaces ToetsingOnline'
CCMO launched the Research Portal on 3 February 2025 for the submission, management and registration of medical research involving human subjects.
The Research Portal replaces ToetsingOnline, which is now only available in read-only mode until the end of June 2025. Adjustments to the data of studies originally registered in the old National Trial Register (NTR) should now be made via the Research Portal.
The CCMO register, accessible via ToetsingOnline, was recently closed. Information on medical research with humans can be found on this website.
Everything about the use of the Research Portal can be read on the CCMO website.
